Personal guidance for a decision that matters.
Genevieve and Patrick started CareWise in 2017 to help families in Arizona and Northern California compare senior living and care options. We bring the person's needs, what they want, where they want to be, and what the family can afford into one conversation, so the choice you make is one you understand.
Since then, CareWise has helped families compare options with current provider research and information they can understand.
- 4,851 families assisted
- 36,003 provider quotes
- Options report typically ready within 3 business hours
Start with the person
A good search is about more than a diagnosis or a budget. We ask about daily routines, the kind of place that would feel like home, who should be part of the decision, and what matters most to the person moving. Those answers shape everything we show you.
Research before the tour
Before you set foot anywhere, we gather what we can find on each option: what care they can provide, room choices, current quotes, availability, and the state's licensing and inspection records. That record won't tell you a place is perfect, but it will tell you what to ask about. Read how our recommendations are made.
Explain the trade-offs
Location, level of care, privacy, activities, and price rarely all point the same direction. We lay those trade-offs out plainly instead of handing you a list and calling it a decision. Every community does its own assessment and makes its own admission decision; a written offer from them is what you can rely on.
Stay involved in the process
We help you compare, set up tours, and handle the back-and-forth with communities through move-in. Here's the five-step process, the people behind the work, and the areas we serve.
How CareWise is paid
Our guidance is free to families. The fee is paid by the community after a completed placement, and it is never added to your bill by CareWise; see how CareWise recommendations are made and how we're paid. Our service disclosure spells it out in writing.
Your choice, with clearer information
Ask us why an option is on the list, what we still don't know, and what the community has actually confirmed. We organize the decision. You and the people you've chosen to involve make it, and the community decides whether it can meet the person's needs.
We don't run the communities we recommend and we're paid by the community when a family we've helped moves in — not by you. We aren't doctors, lawyers, insurance agents, or benefits caseworkers; when a question needs one of those people, we'll say so and help you find them.
